Steven C. Bodner President Mr. Bodner graduated from the prestigious Vanderbilt University Civil Engineering School in May of 1979. For the past 30 years has been actively engaged in the development and management of apartment and retail properties throughout the Midwest. In the early 1990’s the focus became exclusively multi-family developments. Mr. Bodner oversees all facets of the development and management process including the acquisition of property, design requirements, zoning, layout generation, pricing, and the construction of the physical improvements and property performance.

L. Matthew Hare Director of Development Mr. Hare has over 10 years of Real Estate experience, expertise and knowledge. Before joining SC Bodner Company, Inc, Mr. Hare was a Senior Investment Associate with an Industry leading Real Estate Investment Brokerage Firm, working in Chicago and Indianapolis . In his tenure as a broker he represented clients in the sale of their properties and acquisitions for their portfolios in many different real estate investment opportunities. Mr. Hare’s responsibilities as Director of Development include overseeing all facets of the development process, acquisitions for the company’s portfolio and development projects, managing and brokering the sale of the company’s properties, securing financing for the company’s projects, market research and financial analysis. Mr. Hare holds a real estate license in Indiana and Illinois . Mr. Hare graduated from Butler University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.

Ryan Watson, CPA Controller Mr. Watson brings over 8 years experience at one of the largest accounting firms in Indianapolis. As a Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Watson is responsible for overseeing all avenues of accounting for The SC Bodner Company and all of its entities. Ryan supervises all operations related to accounting and financing for all developments. He is responsible for internal budgeting, supervising highly-skilled accounting personnel, financial reporting, and assisting the principal in strategic financial planning and decision making. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana CPA Society.

Sheila Gauntt Assistant Controller Sheila brings over 20 years experience in the accounting field as well as human resource, administrative, and office management. Her keen ability to respond to diversity and the evolving needs of the corporate environment ensures smooth business progression. In addition to providing her expertise in the accounting and human resource departments, Sheila is directly responsible for all commercial business insurance, employee health insurance administration and benefit development, maintaining multi-state business licenses, and municipal filings. Essentially, she is the administrative “glue” that fills in the gaps in the daily operations. In addition to her career responsibilities, Sheila is currently enrolled in the Kelley School of Business at IUPUI majoring in Human Resource Management. Sheila is a member of the American Society of Woman Accountants and the Human Resource Association of Central Indiana.

Jesse Vasquez Construction Accountant Mr. Vasquez has over 7 years experience in private and public accounting. He is a former Controller and is currently pursuing the CPA license. Mr. Vasquez is responsible for managing the construction accounting “draw” process and assisting with month-end closings. He is a member of the Indiana CPA Society.

Megan Plummer Accounting Assistant As an accountant for SC Bodner Company, Mrs. Plummer’s duties include processing payments for 9 properties, Lucy Supply as well as APT Mechanical. She also completes payroll for the entire portfolio and assists in other accounting departments as needed. Megan graduated with honors from IUPUI with a degree in social work and holds experience as a caseworker at Marion County Division of Family Resources. Megan’s fresh perspective in her new career has proven her to be successful in her role with the Company.

Steve Flick Director of Construction Mr. Flick has brought 20 years of multi-family construction expertise to MBA Construction. Growing up under the supervision of his father, a long-time general superintendent, he has benefited from being raised in the multifamily construction environment. Mr. Flick has been a key team member of our company for over 9 years and manages all aspects of construction, development and project management on the entire SC Bodner Portfolio. Prior to joining MBA Construction, Steve was a superintendent for a multi-family developer in Indiana developing properties in Indiana, Ohio and Michigan.

Scott Clark Project Manager With 21 years of experience, Scott Clark’s knowledge of development came from his 19 years as an on-site superintendant. He was hired in spring of 2008 to head up the electrical division for MBA Construction and is now also overseeing three of the Company’s new developments. He is responsible for electrical plan review, ordering supplies and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.

Heidi Galey Director of Property Management Heidi Galey brings over 18 years of industry experience to her position as Director of Property Management. Before joining SC Bodner Company, Inc., she worked for several large, publicly-traded real estate management companies in a number of different capacities including as Director of Sales and Marketing, Director of Human Resources and Training, Operations Manager and as a Regional Property Manager for a portfolio of over 3,700 units. Niche market experience includes University Communities, Collegiate Housing and Call-Center implementation. Heidi brings a strong marketing and training influence to the SC Bodner team. She has developed several nationally recognized marketing promotions and is a certified trainer. Formal education includes Regent's College (London, England) and Indiana University.

Shannon Sorrells, CAM Director of Marketing As the Director of Marketing for SC Bodner Company, Mrs. Sorrells creates an image for each individual property that SC Bodner develops. She is responsible for the creation of logos, property website set up and advertising as well as promoting the properties through the creation of corporate outreach marketing materials. Also as part of Shannon’s duties, she is responsible for the decorating of the clubhouses and model homes. Prior to joining SC Bodner, Mrs. Sorrells served as a Marketing Manager for an Indianapolis based property management company. Her degree in Residential Property Management has been beneficial in the set up of the properties to prepare them for lease up. Shannon is a Certified Apartment Manager through the National Apartment Association.

Michelle Pendley, CAM  Regional Manager Michelle Pendley is the Regional Manager for SC Bodner Company and is in charge of overseeing the sites on day to day activities as well as assist with the management of the property management divison within the company.  Ms Pendley graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University with a B.S. in Business Management. After working several months in a management capacity, Michelle discovered her love for sales and property management. Before joining the SC Bodner team Michelle worked several years as an onsite property manager for a local Indianapolis property management company obtaining several sales awards and company recognitions for outstanding achievements. Michelle is a Certified Apartment Manager through the National Apartment Association.

Molly Bodner Corporate Specialist Molly is the fourth generation Bodner to enter the real estate development business.  Ms. Bodner graduated in 2009 with honors from Butler University, studying marketing and philosophy.  As the youngest addition to the SC Bodner team she is proving herself by working diligently with the development, property management and strategic business planning.  The fresh prospect will lead to the on going success and future continuity of SC Bodner Company, Inc.
